Girls on the Run: The program’s intentional curriculum places an emphasis on developing competence, confidence, connection, character, caring and contribution in young girls through lessons that incorporate running and other physical activities. The life skills curriculum is delivered by caring and competent coaches who are trained to teach lessons as intended.
Heart & Sole: Girls can be vulnerable to negative peer pressure at any age, but Junior High can be difficult to navigate when given freedoms and flexibility. In Heart and Sole, the goal is to teach them the different components of their body aka their “Girl Wheel”: heart, body, brain, spirit, and social. The goal is to teach them how they can affect the world around them in a positive but sometimes negative way too.
