Detroit Economic Club's Career Readiness Academy

Mr. Haas supervises our first year as part of The Career Readiness Academy (CRA), a seven-month program where teams of DEC Young Leaders (ages 21-20) provide career mentorship to 10th and/or 11th grade students at Hazel Park High School. This is an application-only program with a limit of 15 students.  Students are challenged to enhance their understanding and abilities in areas including career exploration, economics, personal branding, networking, and professional etiquette. Four field trips are taken during the year with trips to Motor City Casino to learn about Branding and Oakland Community College to learn about Manufacturing and Skilled Trades.
