Trio Tutoring Prepares Students for SAT Tests

Hazel Park High School has been given an opportunity to receive tutorial services in the content areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics through a grant provided by the Wayne State University’s TRIO program.  The tutors are coming to us from the University Instructors Company, and will work in the classrooms, as well as host drop-in tutoring services during the high school lunch periods, in efforts to help better prepare students for spring testing.  The tutoring program began at the start of our second semester, and will continue until spring break. We are grateful for the added benefit of content tutors in the classrooms services our students in 9-11 grades.
