     The mission of Hazel Park Adult and Alternative Education is to provide learners with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become successful citizens of a global society.
     Hazel Park Adult and Alternative Education strives to provide non-traditional learners with opportunities to get their education in an effort to achieve their goals. Day and evening classes are available.

ONLINE LEARNING

  • Provides an online educational opportunity for students to earn credit toward graduation or prepare for tests such as the ACT or GED.
  • A great way for students to earn credit while utilizing technology and working at their own pace.
  • CREDIT RECOVERY helps students get back on track for graduation. 
  • Credit recovery classes cost $200 per class and students MUST bring in a signed letter from their               counselor.
  • These classes can be done in the comfort of your own home, however the final exam must be taken in our building.

REGISTRATION

Students of all ages may register in September and January at the Adult Education office.  Please call the office for specific dates.

Registration hours: Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Students under 18 as of September 1 of the current school year must have a parent or guardian with them, as well as updated immunization records and a birth certificate, to register.
  • Students under the age of 20 as of September 1 of the current school year must have immunization records and a birth certificate with them to register.
  • Students over the age of 20 must have a valid picture ID to register.

GED TEST

  • The current series of the GED Tests will end December 31, 2013. After that date, no partial scores or incomplete tests will carry-over.
  • The New Generation GED Test will begin January, 2014

Hazel Park provides third-party road testing.  Please bring your permit and picture ID to our office to schedule an appointment.  We are located at:

Road Test: $45.00
