Hazel Park High School is fully accredited by the North Central Accreditation Association of Secondary Schools and Advanced Education. We have implemented core standards and guidelines consistent with those prescribed by the Michigan Department of Education. We continue to improve in our quest for academic excellence. We are proud of our ethnically diverse student body and continue to work to improve harmony among our students. The staff at Hazel Park High School, in partnership with the community, strives to educate all students in an environment of respect and academic excellence. We strive to educate knowledgeable and effective communicators who will become successful adult citizens. Hazel Park High School is a traditional school offering a wide range of classes ranging from basic to advanced placement. We have an outstanding fine arts program, a strong core curriculum, many after school clubs and activities and a variety of interscholastic athletics. We also offer classes at the Oakland Schools Technical Campus and dual enrollment with Oakland Community College. As a Michigan Promise Zone district, students who attended our schools their entire careers qualify for two years of free community college tuition. Certainly, our goal is to fulfill our mission statement which is "...to provide opportunities for all students to acquire the skills to become competent learners and productive citizens." I am proud to be the principal of Hazel Park High School and to work in this community.
